Working from Home is a Privilege

Everything has been going so great at my new position. They have tossed around the idea of me becoming Scrum Certified, but I have to take it out of my tuition money so I’m not really sure if I want to do that. It’s good to know they care about my career and my advancement with the company.

I get to work from home most days, but it seems like when I do work from home I work much longer days. I have gained this privilege by showing up on time, working late most days, and by always being accessible. It’s very hard to walk away from the work when at home, I keep saying “oh I’ll do this one last thing”, and then I end up doing like five last things. Dinners are later and later at night and I’m not sure how to get out of this rut we are in. Maybe a cruise will help?

We got a great deal on a cruise to Bermuda at the last minute. So we are leaving in just a few days. It’s on the Grandeur and this is becoming our old faithful.
